The Figgs with Favourite Shirt from the 1994 album Lo-Fi At Society High.
How cool is that?
The very proficient bass player is Pete Donnelly from New Jersey, who also turns out to be a prolific songwriter. His latest album, Face the Bird, is testament to the quality of his writing, spanning a variety of styles while still allowing his strong melodies to shine through every time. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was an album that didn't want to be made as the recording session in Ocean City, NJ was rudely interrupted by Hurricane Sandy. Not to let a silly little thing a category 3 hurricane throw him off, Pete finished the record partly in his own home, a process I share a certain affinity for. I was in the wardrobe the other day.
Here's the title track, it's nice.
